The Model A4427 6 Digit Universal Counter is a microprocessor based counter. The Counter features 6 digit count indication with a programmable 6 digit divider and a floating point 6 digit multiplier. The count input, can come from a pulse, contact closure or proximity switch. The input pulses are clipped and processed by low pass filtering them, then they are divided by the set "Divisor", then the resultant is multiplied by the 'Multiplier" and then counted by the counter. The counter counts to 6 digits with a resolution of 0.00 001. This gives a 12 digit accuracy of the count, The count indication is automatically scaled to display 6 most significant of the 12 digits with the best resolution and fully floating decimal point. This count value is compared with the setpoint. When this count is equal to or greater than the setpoint, the output relay is energised (In the normally-off mode) . The counter has options like autoreset (cyclic) operation and power-on start. All inputs are isolated from the control circuitry. The unique "Automenu" displays the stored values and options automatically on start-up. The "Autohelp" features on-line help.
