The A4427 6 Digit Universal counter is used when the input pulses have to be divided and multiplied to get the desired indication in engineering or user units. A typical example is in the continuous process industry where the length of the product (e.g. wires, cables, ropes, belting and cloth ) is to be measured. The use of the 6 digit floating multiplier results in high accuracy so that totalling errors are reduced when long lengths are measured. The counter can be used in the packaging machinery for counting the number of pieces of production in any commercial unit like dozens, gross & cartons etc. The two set points enable repetitive and automatic operations of the cutting / marking or measuring processes. The isolation of the external enable and reset controls on the rear panel makes the timer very robust, reliable and immune to electrical interference from motors and contactors in control panel operations. The serial communication facility via the RS232 /RS485 standard ensures that this unit can be used to log production data on the PC.
