The A5440 Autotune PID Process Controller is used to control process parameters like temperature, pressure or other parameters very rapidly and precisely. The PID control algorithm when properly tuned is capable of fast and accurate control of a physical process with minimum overshoot and settling time. This is useful where precise control is necessary as in batch processes for energy conservation and improving product yield. The programmable ramp and soak is useful in heat treatment and nitriding applications. The isolated input and output enables the use of a wide variety of T/Cs, RTD sensors as inputs, without ground loop and noise problems. The control output can be used with power controllers and I/P converters to control the temperature of ovens, furnaces, oil fired boilers, chilling plants and other engineering processes.
